Keep Nashville Historic - Ryman Auditorium
Keep Nashville Historic
Featuring the historic Ryman Auditorium! Located in downtown Nashville, it originally opened in 1892 as the Union Gospel Tabernacle and is best known as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943-1974. It was then slated to be demolished but grassroots public outcry led to it being listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and eventually it went through several renovations to make it the world class music venue it's known as today. It is a Nashville landmark and a historic preservation success story.
